Where the drip shows, and what it means
Under a joint or a corner
The sealant between two pieces has let go. The seam is cleaned out and sealed again from inside the gutter, or the corner is rebuilt where a seal will not hold.
At an end cap or an outlet
The same kind of sealed seam, at the end of a run or where the downspout meets it.
Through the bottom of a run
A split or an opening in the metal itself. A short damaged length is cut out and a new piece is fitted in its place.
Overflow
Spilling in one place or all along
Right above a downspout
The outlet or the elbow below it is blocked, and clearing it is a small repair.
At the far end of a long run
The run may slope the wrong way, or one outlet may be too few for that much gutter. Resetting the fall or adding a downspout deals with it.
Along the whole length
The gutter is full, and a cleaning is the fix rather than a repair.

A repair makes sense when the run is sound and the fault is in one or two places, and it costs less than a new system. When the same gutter shows these together, a replacement is quoted instead:
