Booking a blower door test in Walton County
The code allows the test any time after every opening through the building shell has been made, so book once the last pipe, wire, vent and duct through the shell is in place. Several houses can go in one booking. When you book, send:

Outside openings
Exterior windows and doors closed, but not sealed or taped.
Fireplace and flues
Fireplace and stove doors closed, and exhaust, intake and flue dampers closed.
Inside the house
Interior doors open where they are installed.
Equipment
Heating and cooling off, with supply and return registers fully open where they are installed.
Finishes
Paint, flooring, trim, cabinets and countertops do not change the reading, so they can be done before or after.

Exterior windows and doors are installed, so they can be closed for the test.
Gutters
Gutters for new builds and existing buildings
On new construction, gutters are scheduled around the builder, once the roof and fascia are finished. They are seamless, formed on site to each roof edge, in the 6-inch standard size or half-round aluminum or copper, with colors chosen to match the trim.
For a new build, tell us when the roof and fascia will be finished and where water should leave the roof. The quote follows the length of each roof edge, the number of corners and downspouts, and the gutter style.
Houses already standing
Leaks and sags are repaired, and failed runs are replaced with the old gutters hauled away.
Cleaning and guards
Gutters are cleaned by hand and the downspouts flushed. Guards fit over gutters that are clean and sound.
Downspouts
Moved, extended or added above ground, so water lands clear of doors and walks. We do not lay underground drain lines.
Porches and outbuildings
A porch roof, detached garage or workshop can take its own run and downspout.
Storm damage
Sections knocked loose are reattached or replaced, and the quote is written so it can go to an insurer.
