What a cleaning includes
A cleaning clears the whole path the water takes, not only what can be seen from the ground:

Rain spilling over the lip instead of running to the outlets, which can show as a curtain of water in front of a door.

Weeds or seedlings growing out of the run, which means soil has built up in it.

A downspout that runs slowly, or not at all, while the gutter fills.

If a clear gutter still spills over, the cause can be the slope or too few downspouts for the length of roof.

Water running down the wall behind a clear gutter points to the gutter's height or fall, which is a repair.
A pipe in the ground
Where a downspout drains into a buried pipe, the flushing stops where the downspout meets it. Clearing the buried line is outside our work.
