Seamless gutters formed to each roof edge
Seamless gutter is made at the property from a coil of metal and cut to the length of the roof edge it will hang on. A straight run comes out as one continuous piece, so its only joints are at the corners and at the outlets where downspouts connect. Sectional gutter, by contrast, is built from shorter pieces with a sealed joint wherever two of them meet.
Each run is hung with a steady fall toward its outlets, and the downspouts are placed where the water can leave the roof without landing on a walkway or at a door.
