Why a door tilts
A sectional garage door is lifted evenly from both bottom corners. A cable runs from a bracket at each bottom corner up to the spring system above the opening, and the two sides pay out and wind up together. When one side stops carrying its share, that corner drops and the door goes out of level.
The cause is on the low side or directly above it. A cable that has frayed, stretched, snapped or slipped off its drum lets that corner sag.
